It's Fall - Time for Soccer!!

Joey - after taking one in the leg!

Frankie playing defense!

The boys both resumed their soccer careers this year and boy have they improved. Frankie's team plays like they really know what is going on!! These boys really understand the game and it is so much fun watching them play. Last week they played a practice game after school that ended about 6:45 p.m. It was so dark that none of the "old eyes" (i.e. parents) could see the ball. Unfortunately, none of us could see that our goalie got hurt, which might explain the last two goals! Apparently he broke a bone in his hand during the last quarter. What a tough player.
Joey's team is just a little less together. Some of the players are really starting to get the game and every once in a while they make a play that is spectacular. Joey has turned into a really good player. He was selected as an alternate for the Kit Carson Team, which is quite an accomplishment.
Now that it is starting to get cold, I am happy that the season is almost over. Next up, basketball. At least that is played inside!!
Happy Fall!
Dana
